Crow Cams boat racers win world championships in two classes.
The success of teams using Crow products is not limited to the race track, with boat racers using Crow Cams having success in circuit racing and jet sprint competition for many years.
Two top Australian Crow Cams boat teams have recently had the opportunity to test themselves against the world’s best and both came away as world champions.
Brian McCosker and Liberty Racing have dominated Blown Alcohol Displacement boat racing in Australia for many years. When the opportunity came to compete against the best boats from the USA and New Zealand in the UIM Unlimited Displacement World Cup held in Australia through January and February 2007, Brian and his team came home with the World Championship.
The Liberty name is legendary in Australian power boat racing and the amount of Australian technology and products in the boat, engine and drive line is a credit to Brain and his team. Brian has developed his own cylinder heads and fuel system for Liberty’s unique small block V8 and Crow Cams have worked with Brian for many years on camshaft development.
The Jet sprint world titles came to Australia in late 2006 and V8 super car racer Nathan Pretty took up the challenge in the Dixon Family’s True Blue Racing International Group A boat. Colin Parish from Wangaratta is the team manager and engine builder for True Blue racing and has used Crow camshafts and valve train in his Jet boat engines for years.
Over the three race series Nathan completed a clean sweep – a remarkable achievement given the strength of the field with over 40 boats from Australia, New Zealand and the USA.
Congratulations to Liberty Motor sport and True Blue Racing on their truly world class performances. Crow Cams are proud to be associated with such professional teams.
