CROW RELEASE SEVERE DUTY SOLID LIFTERS
Camshaft companies worldwide continue to raise the bar in terms of lobe design with faster acceleration rates and higher lifts placing higher demands on the entire valve train.
Solid lifters are no exception and design changes have been necessary to improve lifter life in the most severe applications. One of the main challenges in lifter design is maintaining the critical oil film between the cam and lifter and the extreme pressures generated by race valve springs.
The most effective solution is to positively feed oil through the lifter face to ensure a constant positive flow of oil to this area. The new Crow Cams solid lifters achieve this with a precision EDM generated oil metering hole in the face that is offset to distribute oil evenly as the lifter rotates.
The entire lifter body is micro-polished to a mirror finish for improved lubrication and reduced friction in the lifter bores.
The new severe duty Crow solid lifters are available for GM and Ford applications now for under $340 a set.
